Ceide Zapparoni specializes in business litigation. She has broad experience litigating a wide range of commercial disputes in federal and state courts with a particular focus on the financial services industry. Her cases have focused on areas including consumer litigation, breach of contract, property disputes, ERISA, securities, NASD arbitration, intellectual property, defamation of and by corporations, and bankruptcy. She has substantial experience with the law of fiduciary responsibility under ERISA governing consultants and investment advisers. She has experience in alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation.
While at Howard Rice, Ms. Zapparoni was a member of the legal team representing Pacific Gas & Electric Company in its Chapter 11 proceeding. She also worked pro bono on the City and County of San Francisco's marriage equality cases, during which she successfully opposed an intervention application by an anti-same sex marriage advocacy group.
